We provide all the newest ORVIS® equipment, fantastic amenities, and a beautiful setting for the ultimate fly fishing school. Our on-the-water instruction and practice on actual fish can’t be duplicated on a city lawn or parking lot. PHIL ROWLEY – STILLWATER SCHOOL – May 18th -20th, 2012
The school with focus on calebaetis and damsel fly, along with other stillwater fishing techniques. May is one of the best months for these great hatches and some of the best stillwater fishing of the entire year. Only twelve openings available, call for more information today.
Phil Rowley is a well-known author, fly tier and instructor. Phil has been fly fishing for over 30 years. His love of fly fishing has taken him across North America pursuing trout, Atlantic and Pacific salmon, char, pike, walleye and numerous other species on the fly. But Phil is best known for his stillwater exploits.
A former commercial fly tyer, Phil has written for almost every major fly fishing publication in North America. He has authored three books and numerous feature articles and two regular columns. Phil’s first book Fly Patterns for Stillwaters is a best seller. In addition to his writing, Phil has four instructional DVD’s. In 2007, Phil was a member of the gold medal winning team at the Canadian Fly Fishing championships.
When he isn’t on the water Phil travels North America performing at outdoor shows, providing seminars, speaking to fly clubs and conducting fly-fishing schools. Phil also provides instructional stillwater guiding on the lakes located a short distance from his Edmonton area home.
Phil has appeared on a number of TV shows including, BC Outdoors Sports Fishing, Sport Fishing B.C., Fishing Alberta and Fishing with Shelly and Courtney. Phil is presently one of the co-hosts of the New Fly Fisher, an educational fly fishing production.
ONE DAY PRIVATE FLY FISHING SCHOOL
For those who have always wanted to try fly fishing, our one day school is the perfect chance for you to learn fly fishing basics and to get a good start on your fly fishing journey. With a private school you’ll have a 1 to 1 instructor to student ratio or 1 to 2 for couples or friends and the chance to experience the thrill of landing big fish on a fly rod. We provide a perfect learning environment with a relaxed atmosphere and instruction that goes at your pace. We’ll cover all the basics and help you to actually catch fish in our private stillwaters. You will be hooked.
ONE DAY TWO NIGHT FLY FISHING SCHOOL
$745.00 per student, maximum two students per instructor.

If you want to learn fly fishing in depth or would like to improve your skills with an expert instructor, this three day intensive class will provide the knowledge and skills you’ll need to fly fish for trout and other species in various situations around the world. You’ll cover fly fishing and fly casting in depth and will have a 1 to 1 instructor to student ratio or 1 to 2 for couples or friends and the chance to experience the thrill of landing big fish in both lakes and streams on a fly rod.
THREE DAY FOUR NIGHT FLY FISHING SCHOOL
$2,235.00 per student,maximum two students per instructor.
Includes: Three full days of instruction, four nights lodging, country gourmet meals and all needed equipment, Utah fishing license
