Whether you are a beginner who would like to get into the sport, or a more skilled angler looking to progress to another level, we have the knowledge and expertise to help. We provide all the newest ORVIS® equipment, fantastic amenities, and a beautiful setting for the ultimate fly fishing school. Our on-the-water instruction and practice on actual fish can’t be duplicated on a city lawn or parking lot. We are excited to assist beginners catch their first fish on a fly and we can help intermediate and even expert fly fishers perfect their skills.

This two day workshop focuses on nymphing, learn presentation and rigging for both tight line and indicator techniques.

George Daniel began fly fishing at age 6 while growing up in Potter County, PA and credits Joe Humphreys for the bulk of his knowledge along with many national and international fly fishing professionals. George is a two-time US National Fly Fishing Champion and a former member of Fly Fishing Team USA. Currently, he is the head coach for the NC Fly Fishing Team and is employed by the TCO State College Fly Shop. George’s passion is in fly fishing education, where he conducts lectures/seminars throughout the country. He logs over 200 days a year on trout waters near and far. George is the author of the best selling book, “Dynamic Nymphing” along with being published in Fly Fisherman and Fly Tyer magazines. George currently resides in Lamar, PA with his wife, Amidea and their two children along with their two golden retrievers that answer to the names Helios and Madison.
He’s pro staffer for a number of fly fishing companies including Simms, Orvis Fly Rods, Scientific Anglers, Smith Optics, Lamson Reels, Loon, Regal Vises. George is a fly designer for Umpqua Feather Merchants and recently joined the Fly Rod Chronicle’s Pro Staff.

For those who have always wanted to try fly fishing, our one day school is the perfect chance for you to learn fly fishing basics and to get a good start on your fly fishing journey. With a private school you’ll have a 1 to 1 instructor to student ratio or 1 to 2 for couples or friends and the chance to experience the thrill of landing big fish on a fly rod. We provide a perfect learning environment with a relaxed atmosphere and instruction that goes at your pace. We’ll cover all the basics and help you to actually catch fish in our private stillwaters. You will be hooked.

If you want to learn fly fishing in depth or would like to improve your skills with an expert instructor, this three day intensive class will provide the knowledge and skills you’ll need to fly fish for trout and other species in various situations around the world. You’ll cover fly fishing and fly casting in depth and will have a 1 to 1 instructor to student ratio or 1 to 2 for couples or friends and the chance to experience the thrill of landing big fish in both lakes and streams on a fly rod.
Utah Fly Fishing
$2,235.00 per student,maximum two students per instructor.
Includes: Three full days of instruction, four nights lodging, country gourmet meals and all needed equipment, Utah fishing license

We have three classes scheduled for, May 11th, May 18th and May 25th, 2013. These classes are taught with a 1 to 4 instructor to student ratio. Taught on the water, you will have the opportunity to catch fish.
