CAST and BLAST ADVENTURES
September 14 - October 31, 2009
You can do it all... spend cool mornings hunting upland birds over fine dogs and spend the afternoons casting to huge rising trout in private stillwaters. Enjoy the best of both sports at Falcon's Ledge. For only a few short weeks these two "seasons" overlap. Pla
n your trip early, this package sells out fast.
Morning Hunts Your morning hunts are spent on 3,000 acres of private cover with an expert guide and world class gun dogs. You are sure to get in a lot of great shooting. Hunts are conducted in traditional western style over pointing or flushing dogs. Typical hunts are two to four hunters with one guide and a team of dogs. At the end of the hunt, your pheasants and chukars will be cleaned and packaged for you to take home.
Afternoon fly fishing on stillwaters Your afternoon fly fishing adventures feature catch and release fishing on private trophy stillwaters with a personal instructor and guide.
Hunting Location:
You will hunt on 3,000 plus acres of grain fields, food plots, cattails, creek banks, draws, tall grass and Russian olive trees. This beautiful farm valley surrounded by snow capped peaks is just 40 minutes from the Lodge. These acres are farmed and managed exclusively to provide a quality wild bird habitat providing food plots and cover for growth and reproduction of upland birds. On premium hunts we offer plenty of birds to hunt by augmenting the wild population when needed. To experience the noisy flush of a wily rooster pheasant near your feet and chukars bursting into flight from rocky cover will be remembered long after the hunt is over. With snowcapped mountains to the north and south, you will be hunting in some of the most incredible pheasant country anywhere.

Stillwaters
The eight stillwaters were created over ten years ago and hold an abundant population of Brown, Rainbow, Cutthroat, Brook trout and the acrobatic Donaldson Steelhead. These large fish provide a wonderful challenge to anglers of all skill levels. Perfect your cast from the banks or enjoy testing your skill in one of our float tubes. The stillwaters provide an excellent learning ground for beginning fly fishers and hold many trophy fish to excite the most seasoned fisherman. The largest fish to date has been recorded at 31 inches. There is no way of knowing in which of the eight stillwaters the next big fish will be caught. Each stillwater has its own secrets and idiosyncrasies that provide endless challenges and variety.
