Fly fishing has been our main focus from early spring until now. The pheasant hunt is under way and it has been incredible with the cool weather. Our guests can now enjoy a morning hunt and an afternoon of fly fishing all in the same day. It’s a great way to break up a day and enjoy the field and mountain. For most, it was their first time doing both. They were a little nervous and intimidated at first but we got them casting and learning the basics. Once they had the basics down they headed to the mountains for a little stream fishing. Most of them caught fish and were just amazed with the scenery with mountains, pine trees and even a little snow. The high Uintas offer some great fishing experiences along with several species of trout. These high elevation streams are loaded with brook trout, rainbows, browns and cutthroat trout. They broke up into two groups and headed to the fields. It took some of them a few tries to hit a bird but they did it. First time hunters and they were knocking birds down like seasoned hunters. Dogs were pointing great, the guides were getting them in the best positions to get the best shots and the guys were pretty good shots. Cast n blast season is here so come on out and enjoy an experience of a lifetime with friends and family…]]>
