Falcon’s Ledge Booking/Refund Policy
We require a 50% deposit to secure your adventure, retreat or holiday. Deposits may be used to reschedule, but it is not refundable. No refunds for unused services, early/unforeseen departures, cancellation by guest for any reason or airline problems that may arise. (see travel insurance)
Exclusive use Refund Policy
Deposits for exclusive use of the lodge may be used to reschedule with a 30 day notice of cancellation, deposits for exclusive use are forfeited with less than a 30 day notice of cancellation.
Payment
The balance is due by credit card, cash or travelers check at time of departure. Guests are responsible for payment of total package booked regardless of late arrival or early departure.
Confirmation
Your reservation will be finalized in writing prior to your arrival.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is at 4:00 PM, if your room is available, early check-in is possible, check-out is at 11:00 AM.
When you arrive at the lodge we will have a welcome card with your room key on the fireplace mantle as you walk in the front door. If you arrive before 5 pm, please come down the stairs to the office and check in, and we will help you with your bags. After 5 pm, please make yourself at home in the lodge and if you need anything our staff preparing dinner will be happy to assist you. Dinner will be served at 7 pm in the main dining room, and your Orvis-endorsed fishing guide will meet you at 8 am in the main dining room for breakfast.
Guides
When a guest books a trip with us and requests a particular guide, we will make every attempt to have that guide available for them. However, we do not guarantee any particular guide. Guides are assigned on a one guide per two fisherman ratio on all standard trips. If groups or friends traveling together request a ratio closer to one guide per one fisherman, extra fees will apply.
Activities
Besides your guided fly fishing or wingshooting adventure, you may choose to take a horseback ride at Moon Lake, hike, take photos, watch wildlife, shoot clay targets, play Bocce ball on the lawn, or just relax and enjoy the solitude. Let your assigned guide know what you would like to do; they will gladly do their best to accommodate your wishes.
Alcoholic Beverages
Due to state liquor license restrictions, we are unable to provide alcoholic beverages. However, please feel free to bring your own and we’ll provide the mixers, glasses, corkscrews, etc. We have refrigeration available for your beer and wine. We will gladly serve your wine with dinner. No alcohol may be consumed before or during any hunt.
Children
All kids are different, but those who are able to participate in the many adventures at the Lodge are generally 12 years and older. Hunters must be 12 years or older, and must have passed a Hunters Safety Course. There are no children’s activities.
Damage Protection
A damage protection fee of $125 is put on each new reservation that covers accidental damage to the facility during a group’s stay up to $1,500. If the group chooses to decline the damage protection fee, the fee will be removed from the reservation, but the group will be liable for any damage that occurs to the facility during their stay.
Dietary Restrictions
Let us know of any special dietary restrictions or preferences in advance of your arrival so our culinary staff can plan your meals accordingly.
Extra Charges
Rates do not include sales and lodging taxes, transportation to and from the lodge, guide & staff gratuities, and Pro-Shop purchases.
Medical Needs
Please notify us of any personal medical needs. Specifically, we need to know about heart conditions, diabetes, asthma, food or insect allergies, and any physical activity limitations.
Pets
For the safety of your pets and the courtesy of our guests, pets are not allowed in the lodge. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the canyon and no pets are allowed to accompany guests while fishing. We have four outdoor kennels available for hunting dogs.
Other Area Activities
The Ashley National Forest and Uinta Basin offer a multitude of outdoor activities such as hiking, horse back riding, golfing, and sightseeing. Plan to explore this beautiful country while you’re in the area.
Shop
Our Pro-Shop at the lodge stocks fly fishing equipment, flies, fishing shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and other logo apparel. Most guests choose to place their store purchases on account and pay at the close of their stay. We also stock basic convenience and sundry items.
Personal Communication
Rooms do not have telephones, there are phones available in the library and entryway, these phones require collect calls or phone cards. A wireless internet connection is available throughout the lodge. Cell phones do not usually work in the canyon.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect you in case of cancellation, payments are non-refundable. The cost for travel insurance is generally quite reasonable.
Schedule Changes
We reserve the right to change the day-to-day itinerary due to bad weather, guest’s ability and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
Weather
Average high temperatures during the summer months are in the mid 80’s and overnight lows in the upper 50’s. Precipitation is always a possibility; we suggest guests carry a waterproof rain jacket. Be prepared with clothing layers for varying temperatures and cool evenings. The elevation at the lodge is 6500 feet.
Weddings
Weddings at the property will be charged a $2995 weddings fee for the day of the wedding if they are under the capacity of the lodge. If the wedding exceeds the capacity of the property the wedding fee will be $3995.
