Fall fishing is here at Falcon’s Ledge Lodge. The fall weather has arrived in beautiful northeastern Utah. The nights and early mornings are crisp and cool, and the afternoons are warm. The water temperatures are cooling down fast with the chilly nights and the trout are enjoying the cooler water temperatures and are feeding actively. We look forward to this time of year all year long and the spectacular fall fishing has arrived. The fall offers a wide variety of fishing options and great opportunities for catching lots of species of trout.
The private lakes at Falcon’s Ledge Lodge are amazing fishing in the fall months. The trout in the lakes at Falcon’s Ledge cruise the shorelines looking for grasshoppers and ants to fall in the water. Fishermen that enjoy fishing lakes for large trout will love casting hopper and ant patterns to cruising trout as they lurk the shallow bays and shores of the lakes and jump on a hopper or ant pattern placed in front of them. The lakes at Falcon’s Ledge have rainbow, brown, brook, cutthroat, and tiger trout. Anglers will love the privacy and quiet of fishing the private lakes at Falcon’s Ledge Lodge, fishing for a variety of trout species, and maybe even catching a trout of a lifetime.
The rivers just south of Falcon’s Ledge are great brown trout fisheries and the large brown trout get active in the fall. One of our favorite things to do in the fall is to throw hopper patterns to large brown trout on the Duchesne River. The Strawberry River also offers some great hopper and streamer fishing in the fall for big browns.
The river just north of the Falcon’s Ledge Lodge is also great to fish in the fall. Rock Creek and Yellowstone Creek are fun to fish with parachute hoppers, ants, and beetles in the fall. Rainbow, brook, and cutthroat trout rise eagerly for these patterns in the fall and the autumn colors are amazing along these higher mountain streams. The fall colors are magnificent on both the trees and the trout.
This fall we hope to see you in Utah at Falcon’s Ledge Lodge for some amazing fall fishing!
